We produce Ghee from the Milk of Desi Gir Cows only. The benefit of choosing pure Indian breed Gir Cow offers a high density of a protein named " A2 Beta-Casein. The Cows are fed with organic foods, ensuring maximum nutrition and health value in our dairy products. To maintain the authenticity of traditional desi ghee we make our ghee from curd using the traditional Bilona method.
Our A2 Desi Cow Ghee is produced by the traditional Bilona churned method, where Desi Ghee is obtained by churning curd which assists in providing deep nourishment to body tissues. Post obtaining milk from Desi Cows, milk is boiled in earthen pots and kept overnight to make curd out of it. Once we have the curd, we churn butter out of it and then this butter gets boiled to evaporate water from Ghee. The fat (clarified butter) is separated from the milk solids. Roughly 30 kgs of curd is used to make 1 kg Ghee! Hence, A2 Desi Cow Ghee is more expensive than regular Cow Ghee.
Since A2 Desi Cow Ghee is made from extracting elements from milk through the Bilona process, it contains very little amount of milk which makes it lactose and casein-free. Hence, it's a good substitute for lactose-intolerant individuals to incorporate a source of good fat in their diet.
