Handmade in a village in Tamil Nadu, the Muralidhara is a magnificent piece of home décor. This woodcraft is proposed to receive GI certification from the Government of India. Each piece is handcrafted by these craftsmen according to the rules and measurements defined in the Shilpa Shastra and requires 4-6 weeks of relentless craftsmanship.

There are three main stages to the production of an idol: the first is the preliminary cut called Jadippu, the second is the sculpting, and the third is the chafing to give it a smooth finish. In this artefact, Lord Krishna is depicted in his traditional tribhanga position, playing his flute with his sacred cow behind him.
