1. Are these air tight boxes? Best effort has been made to ensure these boxes to be air tight. Being handcrafted, sometimes, there may remain some lag in the fittings. However, storage can still be done in them.

2. Do you need kalai/ Tin coating? No it does not require any of tin coating or kalai, until you are going to be using it to store dry foods like, Dry Atta, Rice.
